The Waste Less. Clean Spaces. Better Places. Campaign

This September, South Oxfordshire and Vale of White Horse District Councils are running a month-long campaign encouraging residents to reduce waste through simple, everyday actions.

The aim is to highlight easy ways for people to waste less, from buying only what you need and reusing or repairing items, to making the most of local refill shops and Libraries of Things. Residents will also be encouraged to get involved with community litter picks to help keep their local areas clean.

People can follow the campaign on the councils’ social media channels, or they can pop along to one of the upcoming town markets where members of districts’ Waste Team will be on hand to answer:

• • 7 September – Abingdon – 8am-3pm
• • 12 September – Didcot – 9am-2pm
• • 16 September – Wantage – 8am-3pm
• • 25 September – Wallingford – 9am-2pm
